Bee Flight is a one-button flying game. A small bee drifts through a forest of tree trunks, and each trunk pair has a gap to fly through. Tap to lift the bee, let it sink, and steer it through opening after opening. Each trunk you pass is one point.
How to play
The bee is always moving forward. Gravity pulls it gently down, and each tap lifts it up a little.
- On a phone or tablet: tap the field, or press the big Flap button.
- On a computer: press the space bar, the up arrow or W, or click the field with the mouse.
Fly through the opening between the trunk that hangs from the top and the trunk that stands on the ground. Touching a trunk, or the ground, costs a heart. After a bump, the bee rests in the next opening for a moment, so you get a short chance to find your height again. When all your hearts are gone, the flight ends.
The page shows how many trunks you have passed, with your best for that level.
The levels
The level changes the size of the gap, the pull of gravity, the speed, and how many hearts you have.
- Easy: very wide openings, a gentle pull downward, and 3 hearts.
- Medium: narrower openings and a quicker pace. 2 hearts, and the trunks speed up a little as you go.
- Hard: tight openings, and the trunks speed up faster. Only 1 heart.
- Expert: very tight openings that sit higher or lower from one pair of trunks to the next, and the fastest pace. Only 1 heart.
On Easy, the speed stays the same for the whole flight. On the harder levels, it climbs to a limit as you pass more trunks.
Today's game
There is a Medium flight each day, with the same trunks for everyone. If you leave in the middle, the flight is saved on your device.
Tips
- Use small, steady taps instead of big ones. A tap is the same lift every time, so a rhythm keeps the bee at an even height.
- Look at the next opening, not at the bee. Your fingers will follow where your eyes are looking.
- Let the bee sink on purpose. When the next opening is lower than you are, wait a moment and let gravity do the work, instead of tapping and having to correct.
- Aim for the middle of each gap. Staying in the center leaves room for a late tap or a drift down.
- Do not panic after a bump. The bee rests in the next opening, so use that time to settle into a rhythm.
- On Hard and Expert, read ahead to see whether the next opening is higher or lower than this one, and start moving early.
- A short rest between flights helps. Your timing is best when you are relaxed.
Questions
Why does the bee keep falling? Gravity pulls it down between taps. Tap steadily to hold your height.
What happens when I touch a trunk? You lose a heart. On Hard and Expert, with only one heart, that ends the flight.
Does the game wait until I start? Yes. Nothing begins until your first tap.
What gives me a point? Each trunk pair you fly past.
