Spot the Difference shows you two pictures that look the same, but are not. A few things have been changed in one of them. Find them all. Take your time and look closely, as the changes can be small.

How to play

The two pictures are shown side by side on a computer, and one above the other on a phone. Tap or click the place where you see a difference. You can tap in either picture. When you are right, the difference is circled.

A difference can be one of several kinds:

A wrong tap adds a few seconds to your time, but you can keep playing. On Expert, you only get 5 wrong taps before the game ends.

If you are stuck, the Hint button circles one of the differences for you. You have a few hints in each game.

The levels

Each picture is made by placing garden or household stickers on a scene. The level changes how many differences there are, how big the stickers are, and what kinds of change appear.

The pictures also get busier as you go up, from 12 to 14 stickers on Easy to 20 to 24 on Expert.

Today's game

There is a Medium picture each day, the same for everyone. Start it with the "Today's puzzle" button on the new game card.

Tips

  1. Look at one area at a time, such as the shelf or the table, and compare the two pictures sticker by sticker.
  2. Check the edges and corners. Stickers there are easy to ignore, and a missing one can hide in plain sight.
  3. Count things. If one picture has three flowerpots and the other has two, you have found a missing or extra sticker.
  4. Look for color first, then for shape. A changed color jumps out when you look at a whole area, but a small move does not.
  5. On the harder levels, compare the gaps between stickers. A sticker that has moved a little leaves a different space around it.
  6. Rest your eyes now and then. If you stare for too long, everything starts to look the same. Looking away for a moment helps.
  7. Use hints sparingly. They are limited, and they are best saved for the very last difference.

Questions

Do I have to tap in a certain picture? No. A tap in either picture counts.

Is there a time limit? No. The clock only counts up, and wrong taps add a few seconds to it.

What does a wrong tap do on Expert? It uses one of your 5 allowed mistakes. After the fifth, the game ends.

What is a mirrored sticker? One that has been flipped from left to right, so it faces the other way.
