Hidden Objects shows you one busy picture, crowded with household and garden things, and a short list of the ones you need to find. Search the scene calmly, tap each thing when you spot it, and cross the whole list off.
How to play
Look at the list of things to find. On the first three levels it is shown as small pictures, so you know exactly what each thing looks like. Then search the big picture and tap each thing when you see it.
Some things are small, some are turned around, and some are half hidden behind something else. If the picture is hard to see, you can zoom in.
- On a phone or tablet: use the plus button, or spread two fingers apart on the picture. Drag the picture to look around when it is zoomed in.
- On a computer: use the plus and minus buttons, or turn the mouse wheel over the picture. Drag to move around.
When you tap the right thing, it is marked and ticked off the list. A tap on a different object in the picture is a wrong tap, and it adds a few seconds to your time. Tapping on empty space is not counted against you.
Hint circles one thing from the list for you. You have a limited number of hints in each game.
The levels
The scene is built by placing stickers on a background. The level changes how many things you must find, how crowded the picture is, and how well they hide.
- Easy: 8 things to find among 30 stickers. The stickers are big and overlap very little. You have 5 hints and wrong taps cost nothing.
- Medium: 9 things among 40. Some are partly behind others. A wrong tap costs 2 seconds, and you have 4 hints.
- Hard: 10 things among 50. They are smaller and turned in different ways. A wrong tap costs 3 seconds, and you have 3 hints.
- Expert: 12 things among 60, and the list is written in words instead of pictures. Look-alike decoys are added in other colors. A wrong tap costs 3 seconds, and you have 3 hints.
On Expert, the color in the name is the one you want. If the list says "red", a blue one of the same kind is a decoy.
Today's game
There is one Medium picture each day, the same for everyone. Its button on the new game card is called "Today's puzzle".
Tips
- Search in a pattern, such as top left to bottom right, so you do not keep looking at the same spot. Then do it again, a little closer.
- Zoom in on crowded corners. A small thing behind something else is much easier to see at a larger size.
- Look for outlines and colors, not whole shapes. A half-hidden thing often shows only one edge.
- Things can be turned. If you cannot find a thing upright, picture it on its side or upside down.
- On Expert, read the whole name. A word like "blue" or "yellow" in the name tells you which color to look for, and that cuts out the decoys.
- Take the easy ones first. Each thing you find clears the picture a little in your mind.
- Save the hints for the end. They are best used when only one or two things remain.
Questions
What is a wrong tap? A tap on an object that is not the one you were looking for. On Easy it costs nothing.
Can I zoom? Yes. Use the plus and minus buttons, two fingers, or the mouse wheel.
Why is the list in words on Expert? It makes the level harder, because you must picture each thing from its name.
Does the game save? Yes. A game in progress is kept on this device.
